In May-1939 Associated Seed Growers (later ASGROW) of New Haven, CT purchased the J. B. Rice Seed Company for $20,000.
A few weeks after the purchase completed, the new management showed their commitment to the Cambridge community by going to the West End to buy 4 new vehicles from Dave Moore’s Plymouth dealership.
