As you head west on NY372 toward Coila, by Tannery Pond, by the turn onto Center Cambridge Road, by the old Cristaldi house, you can look to the right down Coila Road. Until a few years ago, you could see the remnants of the yellow bricks that used to pave Main Street.
Do you know why they were there?

Main Street used to go that way around Tannery Pond. The bridge that we now cross on NY372 on our way to Coila has a plaque declaring the road was moved in 1934.

Maintenance of the bricks and difficulty plowing led to the paving of Coila Road a few years ago.
