As a kid we used to build forts using the bags of grain in the Beacon Feed building. Then we’d move north two buildings and ride our bicycles up the ramp of the freight depot. Last stop was checking in to see what Walt Dunbar was working on in his welding shop.
I used the Freight Depot to give my history talk last Sunday as part of MudU-2026.
