George Andrew’s famous horses pulled a sidehill plow that was invented in this area. It was on loan from the Shushan Covered Bridge Assoc.

Enos Woodard, a local farmer easily recognizable by his beard, was on hand to show the young ‘uns how to pitch hay.

There was a tug-of-war between representatives of the Shushan Covered Bridge and the Rexleigh Covered Bridge. I can’t find any report of who won, but who cares, everyone had fun.
