Six years ago this week we lost the 3rd building on the south side of West Main Street … known either as LeGrys & Son Jeweler or Francis Ackley’s store.
28-Jan-2015 was a frigid cold day. It started with Alan Robertson standing in the street playing taps. By the end of the day, we were down to only 3 buildings from the six that were erected following the devastating 1884 fire that completely destroyed the West End.
