The company had just attended the funeral of William Dwindell father of Fred Dwindell. Dwindell had been a member of the Russell Hose Company which was later renamed the Jerome B. Rice Hose Company.
James Loren submitted the photo to the 1939 Wash Cnty Post. At that time (49 years after the photo was taken) only Loren and Murray were still living.
